Independent film studio, Greenhouse Studios collaborates with Cinema 2:16 in the development of the documentary, ?Fatherhood 101,? to demonstrate the importance a father?s role in a child?s life through in-depth interviews with parents and family relationship experts

CLEVELAND?Greenhouse Studios (GHS), in collaboration with Cinema 2:16, are in production with the filming of ?Fatherhood 101,? a feature-length documentary demonstrating the role of fathers in the lives of their children, based in Cleveland, Ohio.

?Fatherhood 101? is an educational and expressive project designed to increased positive interaction between fathers and their children. Fathers new to fatherhood often require assistance and guidance in the role. The documentary will assist in providing necessary resources available for the transition. It will establish a universal service platform to assist fathers, build a positive and powerful image of fatherhood, and increase public awareness of the importance and power in the role of father.

The insightful documentary will engage Cuyahoga County?s ?The Fatherhood Initiative?s various programs its hands on director Al Grimes and the Center for Family and Children as case studies for compelling accounts of actual fathers as they struggle to overcome challenges and achieve success and growth.

?The Fatherhood Initiative?s vision is to have every father have a productive positive relationship with their children because fathers matter in the upbringing,? stated Marquette Williams, co-owner and managing director of studio business and creative affairs for GHS. ?We?re honored to be partnering with Cinema 2:16 on this informative, yet emotional project. It?s important to get the word out, effectively, to assist fathers who have no resources to be a part of their kids? lives.?? Williams created Cinema 2:16 to focus on production in Cleveland Ohio specifically to bring jobs and economic opportunity via film production to his hometown.

?The Fatherhood Initiative? is a collaboration of over twenty-five public and private agencies that combine skills and knowledge to benefit the fathers of Cuyahoga County, a part of Greater Cleveland. ?Fatherhood 101? will film case studies of ?The? Fatherhood Initiative,? illustrating the vital role fathers play in nurturing and raising children, and the negative impact upon families without fathers.

On April 1, 2011, The Center for Families and Children (CFC), West Side Ecumenical Ministry (WSEM), and El Barrio merged together for increased impact on the community.? The combined organization has core strengths in early learning, food centers, behavioral health, youth development, and workforce development. ?Fatherhood 101? case studies will include ?program such as Nueva Luz,? Boot Camp for Dads, Passages, Rising Above, Fathers and Their Families FAFT, and many other programs offered by the Cuyahoga County?s ?The Fatherhood Initiative and CFC.

?Fatherhood 101? will also include testimonials from celebrity fathers, powerful women in business, and experts in family relationships. It will be marketed on a transmedia platform utilizing social media, webisodes, mobisodes, participatory online content, and traditional public service announcements.

In 2007, GHS principals Moni Boyce, Desi Green, and Williams collaborated with Cinema 2:16?s producer Dennis Knowles for the creation of the drama thriller, ?Unspeakable,? which premiered at the Cleveland International Film Festival in 2008. With the ?Fatherhood 101? project, GHS welcomes Peter Lawson Jones as executive producer.

?Fatherhood 101? is scheduled for completion in 2013; in time for entrance into the top documentary film festivals. The general public release date is scheduled for June 16, 2013, Father?s Day.
