MTV is looking for ACTORS/PERFORMERS/MUSICIANS/DANCERS/STUDIO ARTISTS!
On Thursday August 30th, MTV and Intel are bringing THE MUSIC EXPERIMENT (www.themusicexperiment.com) featuring Santigold to Chapel Hill and we are looking for local musicians/artists/performers to be part of this exciting event!
The series of 4 shows features?buzzing artists (Of Monsters and Men, Santigold, The Jezabels?) who have emerged as next-generation stars about to break into the mainstream.
We are eager to include the rich artistic community in Chapel Hill and make this show that much more special for the hosting city.
Specifically, the Chapel Hill show featuring Santigold is themed a surreal Midsummer Night?s Dream. We are looking for potentially:?
?ACTORS/PERFORMERS:?to do a modern/edgy take on a surreal midsummer nights dream through performance art and/or short modern takes on a scene or a scene written with this theme in mind
?ACTORS/PERFORMERS/DANCERS:?to mingle in the crowd in costume and intermittently perform short skits/silent scene
?ACTORS/PERFORMERS/DANCERS:?to mingle in-costume with the crowd and build excitement around the show at the ticket giveaway event on Saturday August 25th in Chapel Hill
?MUSICIANS:?Musicians to be part of the ticket giveaway event on Saturday August 25th and the show itself on Thursday August 30th- violinists, fiddlers, violists, horn players, harpists, cellists, flautists- you name it!! We want you to be part of this!
?STUDIO ARTISTS:?we would like to involve local artists in our set design and stage building, in some instances we have specific ideas about what needs to be built (stage design and large props for the space) and also encourage artists to contribute ideas. We are looking for artists who want the opportunity to work on a national event of this scale.
Artists will be given up to 3 invites to the shows and credited on The Music Experiment and MTV online properties including MTV.com, MTV Iggy, MTVu and others that feature content from The Music Experiment. ?Select artists will be credited in local/national press and media around the show.
