Multiple Windows Phone 8 devices headed to Verizon in Q4

Verizon customers should be prepared for an onslaught of Windows Phone 8 devices this holiday season, according to a CNET?report. Verizon?s Chief Marketing Officer Tami Erwin told CNET?that not one but several Windows Phone 8 devices would make their way to Big Red in Q4 2012, though Erwin stopped short of confirming the devices the company will offer. While we?d like to see the recently announced Lumia 820 or 920 smartphones come to Verizon this year, rumors suggest one or both of those devices are headed to AT&T only just as the Lumia 900 before it. Perhaps we?re more likely to see the Samsung ATIV S, which Samsung unveiled last week at the IFA show in Berlin.

Regardless, we?re all for choice when it comes to mobile operating systems, and it?s good to see Verizon finally embracing Windows Phone as a platform. To date, Big Red has only offered the HTC Trophy, and publicly announced it would hold off on Windows Phone until Windows Phone 8 was made available.
